Title: Doodlebug
Notes: Why you shouldn't doodle during tests.
A completely random piece about a completely random thought...No real meaning or point...but fun non the less...

Doodlebug!

By Dominosmitelvis

Louis glared down at the ink caterpillar that he'd sketched on his paper, the caterpillar stared back.

Despite eating half of Louis' work, the caterpillar seemed defiant, and continued to insist that it hadn't done anything wrong. This wasn't the first time something like this had happened; Henry seemed to like the taste of differential equations. This wouldn't normally have been considered a bad thing for Louis, but seeing as he was in the middle of a test, he figured that he was in trouble.

"10 minutes remaining."

Louis glared once more at the caterpillar as if hoping it might regurgitate the knowledge back onto the paper, instead it pounced straight onto the second half of the solutions, and munched it's way through the numbers and algebra.

As soon as the last 'x' had been safely consumed, Henry turned to meet Louis' eyes once more, and let out a satisfied burp.

Louis was flabbergasted, Henry had been one of his favourite doodles, he let him out often enough, even played with him during R.E. every week without fail.

He lurched for the ink eraser and released the lid, harshly erasing the outline, ignoring the caterpillar's pleas.

"Put your pens down, and make sure your name is on the paper..."

Louis' head slammed down on the top of the desk, causing classmates to turn and investigate.

"Looks like another fail for you Louis," the teacher grumbled. "Not even bothering to try any of the questions. I'll be seeing you in my detention tomorrow..."

Louis groaned, three weeks in a row, and he'd really tried to avoid it this week.

"...and you better have a good excuse for wasting my time."

Louis' face grew paler. How on earth could he explain that a grumpy caterpillar had devoured his solutions without sounding insane?

He grabbed his bag and nodded glumly as he left the classroom.
Well we're nearing the end of day one, and my story is going strong. I reached todays quota with 6 minutes to spare from my rigorous schedule, and am still only on the novel introduction.

So far, I have already managed to introduce the immortal toad, and am enjoying the freedom that the fantasy world provides me, though I am still looking for a couple of country names...

Country1 - Democratic. Large emphasis on magic and magical research...

Country2 - More of a kingdom of several countries, ruled by a king on his death bed. Large emphasis on technology.

Anywho! I need to get reading that Physics book! >.<;;

    <lj:music>Home - Michael Buble</lj:music>

Well...things have changed dramatically since the last Nanowrimo style post.

I have decided to change my plot, main reason: Not enough thinking about things or plotting or anything to make it easy to write about for 50,000 words...and keep me going for a month!

You'll be pleased to know, I will be attempting to keep all the things listed below in my NaNo..seeing as I took them as dares and all. Though now, it will be a straight fantasy novel, and somewhat easier to include them in! xP

So I haven't made my Main Character yet (Yup. I know.), any name suggestions would be great!

(MC = Main Character.)

MC tidies room, in a typical young persons way...Everything ends up in his cupboard. Unknown by him, in his cupboard, the barrier that seperates different worlds is at it's weakest. In the exact same place in another world, is a collection of the Prime Minister for <fantasy world="World">'s supply of the most volatile potions and spells.

The fact that MC has crammed his wardrobe full, and is trying to force the door shut, causes a tremor in the Prime Minister's store which knocks everything flying, causing lots of colourful explosions and bursts of energy.

This is sufficient to break down the barrier between the two worlds. MC notices how the door suddenly shuts, investigates...and so the adventure begins.

MC ends up in PMs building/house, tries to go back, but the worlds have healed the hole between them. MC then ends up passing through possession of a large number of people, until eventually he finds a way to get home.

Actually, I need suggestions for world names too, and perhaps cities/towns...

OH! If anyone thinks this story has been done before, please tell me! I'm not sure where the idea came from, but it seems familiar! xD Maybe it reminds me a bit of Time Bandits (because of the start...) but meh.

Okay, I've decided that I will post the occasional snippet or summary of how my novel is going up here, simply because it will make me feel more inclined to write it! xD

So fare some things you can look forward to:

- A talking set of keys.

- An immortal toad.

- A flying horse afraid of heights.

- Moving Books

- A pet plant...or two.

- Any crazy thing that I can come up with myself...

- Possibly some horrendous breaking in the physical laws of the universe...

And hopefully, at some point...a definitive plot!

And in case anyone wants to know, my current working title is:

Rick Razor's Magical Detective Agency

This title doesn't technically fit the story now, seeing as it's now a department and not an agency, and Rick Razor therefore doesn't own it...But HEEEEEEY! xD

    <lj:music>John Denver - Rocky Mountain High</lj:music>

I meant to have a rant thing up here ages ago...Well around Saturday. I'll see how much I can get done in this short time period, eh?

World Cup Final

Well it was bound to come to an end, England lost to South Africa, despite a perfectly good try being disallowed (by an Australian I hasten to add!! Why do they hate us?!? T.T)...But I'm not sad about it!

In fact, they played better than South Africa in that final, and Matthew Tait is awesome <s>and cute</s>, and Toby Flood is hilarious...and and and and...I have inspiration to go play Rugby.

Maybe I'll see if I can make it as a pro...Though it's tough deciding which of my two positions I wanna play! GRRRR xD

Stardust

It turns out that it actually is an awesome film! Some inconsistencies from the book <s>which I haven't finished reading, but I asked my sister about, and that's what's important!!</s>, but it is great and great and yeah... I lost track of where this was going!

NaNoWriMo

Yes, it's that time of year again! Nearing November, so it's time to torture your creative souls and try and write a 50,000 word novel in one month.

I'm slightly happier with my plot this year <s>which is bizarre because I haven't planned it all out yet...</s>, and I'm dragging some friends into it, and bothering people on the forums so that I can have word wars and come out with more than the mediocre 8,000 words from last year! :)

I just need to make time to plan...

Interviews

I guess it's a bad thing that I just realised that all the universities that I have applied to interview Physics applicants...GRA

Well I've been scheduled interviews at UCL and Manchester, a week after each other at the start of November...So we'll see what happens. Though Manchester seemed more laid back, and the admissions tutor sounded nicer and less formal. So that's a positive for Manchester!! -Pushes it up to the top of his list- xD

But unfortunately that gives me about a week to read this "Big Bang" book, and I still have maths things to revise and learn properly...NNNNN!!! >.<

I think that's all I need to rant about for now...I'll remember something relevant later and end up ranting in another post xD

I don't trust myself in control of 1 tonne of metal!! xD

For some reason I couldn't get to sleep the night before...I ended up reading a chapter of "The Jungle Book" because it was lying around, and boy that is one hard book to read! It gave me a headache...

So I went ahead and read the poem in the second book: "The Law of the Jungle" because I have fond memories of it! xD

NOW this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back—
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

Wash daily from nose-tip to tail-tip; drink deeply, but never too deep;
And remember the night is for hunting, and forget not the day is for sleep.

The jackal may follow the Tiger, but, Cub, when thy whiskers are grown,
Remember the Wolf is a hunter—go forth and get food of thine own.

Keep peace with the Lords of the Jungle—the Tiger, the Panther, the Bear;
And trouble not Hathi the Silent, and mock not the Boar in his lair.

When Pack meets with Pack in the Jungle, and neither will go from the trail,
Lie down till the leaders have spoken—it may be fair words shall prevail.

When ye fight with a Wolf of the Pack, ye must fight him alone and afar,
Lest others take part in the quarrel, and the Pack be diminished by war.

The Lair of the Wolf is his refuge, and where he has made him his home,
Not even the Head Wolf may enter, not even the Council may come.

The Lair of the Wolf is his refuge, but where he has digged it too plain,
The Council shall send him a message, and so he shall change it again.

If ye kill before midnight, be silent, and wake not the woods with your bay,
Lest ye frighten the deer from the crops, and the brothers go empty away.

Ye may kill for yourselves, and your mates, and your cubs as they need, and ye can;
But kill not for pleasure of killing, and seven times never kill Man!

If ye plunder his Kill from a weaker, devour not all in thy pride;
Pack-Right is the right of the meanest; so leave him the head and the hide.

The Kill of the Pack is the meat of the Pack. Ye must eat where it lies;
And no one may carry away of that meat to his lair, or he dies.

The Kill of the Wolf is the meat of the Wolf. He may do what he will,
But, till he has given permission, the Pack may not eat of that Kill.

Cub-Right is the right of the Yearling. From all of his Pack he may claim
Full-gorge when the killer has eaten; and none may refuse him the same.

Lair-Right is the right of the Mother. From all of her year she may claim
One haunch of each kill for her litter; and none may deny her the same.

Cave-Right is the right of the Father—to hunt by himself for his own:
He is freed of all calls to the Pack; he is judged by the Council alone.

Because of his age and his cunning, because of his gripe and his paw,
In all that the Law leaveth open, the word of the Head Wolf is Law.

Now these are the Laws of the jungle, and many and mighty are they;
But the head and the hoof of the Law and the haunch and the hump is—Obey!

Yup. This actually hasn't got a thing to do with me strangely enough! (People are confusing! >.<), but rather something that happened in Blackpool when we went to visit for the day...so let me rant to you about a load of pointless backstory! xP

We set off by train...and well had to change at 3 stations to get to Blackpool...So that's 4 trains. And all because we missed the direct train by 3 minutes.

So after 2 hours to travel a 45 minute straight journey (because of all the stops that the trains went to and the changing of trains and waiting for them) we finally got there, and set off on our trek along the promenade! I was extremely tempted by the clairvoyants & palmists all lined up along the front offering to read my fortune and other stupid things!...That and the lapdancing clubs! xD

After about 30 mins walking we finally got near where we were headed, so we stopped and had good ol' traditional Fish n' Chips. (with curry sauce. And if you dont know what that is, or think that I mean the thing in curries, then you need to have a proper education about england *cough* Georgia*cough*) It was all very healthy...

Well pointless back story over, we went into Blackpool Pleasure Beach (a name I found rather unfortunate having pointed out the lap dancing and strip clubs...), and got ourselves some wristbands of wonderful-ness so we could go on a load of rides!

Well first there was the crazy viking log flume thing called: "Valhalla"...which gave me a lot of confidence in my survival chances...

And that was amusing enough, but our next stop was a rollercoaster called avalanche, in a vain attempt to dry ourselves...

Anyway, the carriages were as below (the bottom rollercoaster), 2 per carriage in that sort of position. A fair few people managed to get away with sitting on their own. Which was clearly what 2 of the teenage boys in front of us were hoping.

They tried to avoid having to go on the one that had pulled into the station because there was only one carriage left, and despite hoping the pair of people behind them would go and take the space, the rollercoaster control mad demanded (i use the word loosely) that the last carraige be filled up, and then addressed them directly.

Of course the look on their faces said a lot more than I can explain, and despite losing their dignity, they attempted to look cool and act normally. Of course they only made it more amusing to me and my couslings!!

(Also. See the rollercoaster at the back of that picture...the "Pepsi MAX big one"...I went on it...-dies- It was rather exhilarating, but that first drop...-dies- 200ft...bleughhhhhhhh)

I've noticed that I have two sets of in jokes. Which is a problem. Because I burst out laughing randomly and people look at me funny!! Or I say things that people look at me funny!! -__-;;

So here is my attempt to introduce people to the in jokes shared with my couslings.

BEWARE...A lot of it doesn't make sense, and a lot of it is just bizarre!!

"The Balls are Inert!"

"Object my balls!"

"The Pylons are Trap Balls."

"Ninja Info Cards"

And the rest are all the episodes of The Abridged Yu-Gi-Oh! which is absolutely hilarious...Link to episode one:

"Episode 1"

Well yes, a rant about a song...you should all go check it out. It's in my head now. >.<

I was introduced to it by an american guy a few months ago, but never really listened to it properly until it became a hit over here...I think it's become a hit? Anyone care to enlighten me??

Look it up doods and dood-ettes. "Hey There Delilah" - The Plain White Ts

;)

Phew. That was a lot of rants!! I am gonna go prepare myself for work now...So enjoy life. xD

    <lj:music>Nothing...For a change..</lj:music>

Yes...I've been away, far away to the lands of the lake district. So I will try to keep the rants brief, or hide them all behind cuts!! I have a piece of flash fiction to put up at some point, and possibly end up writing some slash. >.<;;

Disclaimer: Rants are read at the reader's risk. Me, and Livejournal will accept no responsibility for any damage, whether mental or physical.

The Lakes

The lakes are perhaps one of the most beautiful places in the UK...and perhaps even the world. Though I am not an expert on that. Some of the views were fantastic! Though I wasn't too happy with the climbs to get up to them that my dad managed to trick me into about 3 times. *rubs feet*

I also didn't eat particularly healthily...perhaps that's a bad thing considering all the fitness training that I have coming up...T.T

We went to the aquarium, and I spent most the time watching the otters. I love otters! They are cute! And agile! And awesome! And I want one! xD I think they are the only thing that can match the awesomeness of wolves! xD

While away I also managed to find a load of itboxes (those quiz game machines where you can win money) and I now have an addiction...I'm gonna spend the next 3 weeks trying to find some and win money from them! xD

I think that's pretty much all I need to rant about as far as holidays are concerned! xD

Darkness

A side rant to the holiday, and rather pointless...but do you have any idea how dark it really is in the middle of nowhere, and how bad my eyesight in the dark actually is?!?!!!

The Bratz

I think I got the short end of the straw...I agreed to go and see The Bratz movie with Georgia, provided she came to Transformers with me...because I wanted to mock Transformers...

It turns out that Transformers is meant to be a good film, and The Bratz film is...well I don't think I need to explain that!! xD Wish me luck...T.T

The Night Watch

Well I started reading this book after I finished Har- erm... the book that must not be named... and it turned out, that I found the writer awesome! I'd seen the trailers for the film which came out a few years ago, in russian with english subs (w00t!!), and heard it was good, but I never got around to seeing it! So when I saw the book in a Forbidden Planet, I pounced on it.

I wouldn't have thought that I would like stories about vampires and dark magicians and the lot, but it is actually awesome! ^^ Go look it up!!

Heroes

I remember Kaori mentioning something about it being awesome a long time ago...sometime like January...when wonderful holiday coincidences made lots of conversation...but it hadn't come to the UK at that point.

BUT NOW IT HAAAAAAAS! AND IM ALREADY AN ADDICT! Heck! I'm gonna go watch it online, or download it if they dont hurry up and show more!! Come on BBC!!! T.T

I finished ranting now. *dies* I may be around soon xP

    <lj:music>Ladies' Choice - Zac Efron (Hairspray Soundtrack)</lj:music>

It's been a long time since I used this...I went back to school after my exam leave, probably completely messed up one of the 2 maths exams, and here I am 5 or 6 weeks later talking about it still...

Well a few things to point out for people who may still be around, and therefore care :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGTs-ooDZq4

The Muppets! Singing the irish-american folk song "To Morrow"...It's a genius song...I like it...I want it's babies. I think that was too far.

Other noteable things...JOHN TRAVOLTA DRESSED AS A WOMAN!! SOMEONE SAVE MY BRAIN BEFORE I'M SCARRED FOR LIFE!!! Well, actually I guess he acted pretty well! BUT HE'S DRESSED AS A WOMAN!

So anyway, check out Hairspray!! It was great, though some of the songs are way too suggestive for a PG, I dont know how they got away with it!

In other news: I dislike JK Rowling...yet still I went to see the Harry Potter film (twice), and our family somehow managed to come into possession of 3 copies of the last book! >.<;;

<s>Kill me now...</s>

Have fun...-___-;;

Well the highlight of today has to be from the S1 exam:

We were given a question, where a box plot was provided, showing the weights of members of an orchestras luggage. There was one cross of the box plot at about 90kg.

The question that was the highlight was a long the lines:

What you understand by the cross, and suggest an instrument this musician might play.

Oh the fun...a solid lead Trombone methinks! ;)

((I want to sing for a living *whines*))

    <lj:music>Crying - Roy Orbinson</lj:music>

I have found another wonderful song with wonderful Lyrics and this time, a much more wonderful tune!

Well I first saw it on 'Any Dream Will Do', but I didn't remember it until today...

So lyrics for you admire under the cut!

Crying by Roy Orbinson

I was all right for a while,
I could smile for a while,
But then I saw you last night,
You held my hand so tight,
When you stopped to say hello,
Oh You wished me well,
You couldn't tell that,
I'd been crying over you,
Crying over you and then you said "So long",
Left me standing all alone,
Alone and crying, crying, crying, crying.
It's hard to understand,
That the touch of your hand can start me crying.
I thought that I was over you,
But it's true, so true,
I love you even more than I did before,
But darling, what can I do?
For you don't love me,
And I'll always be,
Crying over you, crying over you.
Yes now you're gone,
And from this moment on, I'll be crying, crying, crying, crying,
Yeah, crying, crying over you.

<lj:music>This Night - Billy Joel</lj:music>

I got another prompt done...and yes slash. I was made to. Darn people pressuring me into it! Think of it as fan service! xD

Title: First Kiss.
Prompt: First Kiss
Comments: I have an original naming system for these drabbles going on...Oh yes, the last line is a bit awkward, but I couldn't think of something better! >.< In fact, I think it's all a bit...weird and poor quality. But that's your decision really!

First Kiss

By Dominosmitelvis

"Can I kiss you?"

The question was poised in such a way that Jason was unsure how to take it, "Pardon?"

"I said: can I kiss you?"

The sun was setting over the fields, and the orange light illuminated his friend's face, looking down at him with eyes that yearned for something. His golden hair was scruffy, and the fringe covered most his forehead.

Jason's breathe quickened, "Stop joking around!" he laughed, awkwardly, turning away. A hand fell on his shoulder turning him quickly back around, and pulling him in close.

He could feel the warmth of Zack's body, smell the musk and cologne mixing together; he could hear his heart beat.

"What're you doing?" Jason asked, looking up at him, trying to wriggle from his grip. His voice was uneven, and his face red, his heart raced faster than he'd ever felt it pulse.

Zack didn't say another word; he pulled Jason upwards, and forced their lips to meet.

Jason struggled, his lips unfamiliar with the texture of another pair. The moisture and smoothness felt strange to him, almost as if he were kissing a frog.

His muscles tensed, and he pulled away from the embrace, shaking. He turned away, but soon felt another body push up to him again, "What's wrong?"

His friends voice rang in his ears, delving into the hidden insecurities that lay inside him.

What's Wrong?

He'd been so sure of things, he'd planned his entire life out ahead of him. He'd understood it.

Jason turned, and with all his strength, pushed Zack away.

What's wrong?

It's hard to know what to feel, when someone's just stolen your very first kiss...
<lj:music>Joni Mitchell - Both Sides Now</lj:music>

I don't know if you've ever found this...But I read the lyrics to a song yesterday, and just felt like giving up on everything because they were so good and I am so naff! xD Well I couldn't stop listening to it

I'll place it behind a cut for anyone who cares!

Rows and flows of angel's hair,
Ice cream castles in the air,
Feather canyons everywhere,
I've looked at clouds that way.

But now they only block the sun,
They rain and snow on everyone,
So many things I would have done,
But clouds got in my way.

I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow,
It's cloud illusions I recall,
I really don't know clouds at all.

Moons and Junes and ferris wheels,
The dizzy dancing way you feel,
As every fairy tale comes real,
I've looked at love that way.

But now its just another show,
You leave 'em laughing when you go,
And if you care, don't let them know,
Don't give yourself away.

I've looked at love from both sides now,
From give and take, and still somehow,
Its love's illusions I recall,
I really don't know love at all.

Tears and fears and feeling proud,
To say "I love you" right out loud,
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds,
I've looked at life that way.

But now old friends are acting strange,
They shake their heads, they say I've changed,
Well something's lost, but something's gained,
In living every day.

I've looked at life from both sides now,
From win and lose and still somehow,
It's life's illusions I recall,
I really don't know life at all.

Yeah...I think I'm gonna go curl up in a ball and sulk! hehe

    <lj:music>Why God, Why? - Miss Saigon Soundtrack</lj:music>

Yes! I am! Don't panic! I have also written a couple of pieces of flash fiction over the past few days...I gave myself a load of prompts to try and write for, so I guess I'll post the two I have up here! Feel free to prompt me some more! xP

Title: Driven to Witchcraft
Prompt: Witchcraft
Comment: Yes, I know it makes witchcraft sound all evil, and some people don't like that...But for the purpose of the universe that this story takes place in, it is! ¬¬;; Oh yes, I wrote this in 2nd Person, which is kinda bizarre! ;)

Driven to Witchcraft

"Now the time has come at last,

To right the wrongs that plague my past.

Spirits soak my withered hands,

And help wreak havoc 'cross the land,

Coarse through my veins unkempt and wild,

I’ll have revenge on that man’s child.”

Shouting fades to a vague whisper, and in the silence a single soul floats off to join the gods…

It’s strange how witchcraft is discovered, in moments of weakness and jealously, you look back on life and pin point all its problems to one particular person, a love.

Your loneliness, your drinking problem, even your rubbish job all links back to the passionate love affair you spent with him, the nights you spent out on the town when perhaps you should have been sitting in your room studying for the next day's exams.

You think about the way he left you, for your best friend. How you watched helplessly and cried in the streets. How could he be so cruel and uncaring?

You remember being sent invitations to the wedding, the christening of their first child, just foul jibes to rub salt into the already infected wounds.

Everything that happened leads you to this moment, in the darkness of your basement, by the light of a solitary candle; you show them what it's like to lose a piece of their hearts, one final deed to pay them back for what they’ve driven you to.

Title: Three Pounds Sixty Two Pence.
Prompt: £3.62
Comments: Yes, I know that getting that sort of change would be stupid, but I needed to get the prompt in! xD Very short scene, it was quite fun to write though!

Three Pounds Sixty Two Pence

The wind blew the stray strands of dirty brown hair across her face, shielding the eyes that were overflowing down her cheeks.

A tattered leather suitcase sat by her feet, and she stared down at it intently, like her, it had seen better times, it had lived life to the full.

Again and again, it had been used (just as she had), and again and again it held strong. But each trip took its toll on it, the once smooth surface showed patches of rough, and at some points, the bag had become so weak it had torn into tiny holes.

Her heart was the same.

The bus slowly pulled up in front of her, and the driver went about his routine cheeriness.

"As far as you go." She spat, thrusting a crumbled bank note into his hand.

"That'll be Three pounds, sixty two pence change."

<lj:music>It's De-Lovely - Anything Goes</lj:music>

The title pretty much explains how my brain feels at this moment... I guess I haven't had a rant about my school on here before, so why not start now?!?

Well my school sucks.

The wonderful world of what us british people call 6th form (aka education that is not compulsary).

Now this is a concept that the school has failed to come to terms with, ensuring we attend every single lesson, forcing teachers to give us 5 hours of homework per subject per week...(Totals up to around 25 hours in my case)...And then shouting at us if we don't do it, or putting us in detentions.

Worst of all, the once sacred PS (Private study) which allowed us to sit and relax and play chess or scrabble or read a newspaper has now been turned into an hour of some teacher coming around and shouting at us to get some work out.

There are a few other rules that I could rant about, but I don't have the energy...I fell asleep several times during my maths lesson. xD

On a lighter note, it's the weekend!! That means I get to do things! This week, I'm going to the cinema...TWICE! And because i'm sure that some of you had not had the pleasure of hearing of the movie "Arthur and the Invisibles"...here's a quick summary!

A kid named arthur's house is going to get demolished unless he gets lots of money within a deadline...he somehow gets shrunk and finds the land of the invisibles in the back of his garden . His mum had told him stories about them or something...

Anyway, he tells them and they get worried, and so him and a princess of these little smurf/faery creature things (Voice acted by Madonna [lol]) have to go look for this treasure that some evil person (Voice acted by David Bowie [Rofl!]) is trying to steal for himself or something...

Somewhere in that mess of a storyline, some faery/smurf thing with a beanie hat (Voice acted by Snoop Dog [Lmao! xD]) turns up for comedy purposed.

That has to be the most mockable film since "The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl"...Baring in mind I laughed constantly through that when I saw it in the cinema.

Ah we love childrens films these days.

    <lj:music>You're the Top - Anything Goes Soundtrack</lj:music>

Well okay I haven't been around, but I want to rant about another musical I went to see. (Yes, there have been a few more I've seen since last time...well Chicago and the torturous thing that our local amateur theatre did).

I booked tickets for "Anything Goes" at the local theatre, the prices were cheap. Obviously. But the performances were generally good... and to cut a long story short, I apparantly paid for 50 year olds to dress up and sing swing music like an opera, out of tune, and not loud enough to here.

I also noticed that in every musical number, the entire cast stood at the back of the stage swaying from side to side like it was an OAPs disco, while the same 3 young dancers that they's got in danced at the front...It was more than scary.

To combat this horrible pollution of my mind, I had to download a London Cast Recording of "Anything Goes" from 2003...Boy, it's so much better!!

End of rant. Happy Holidays. xD (Even if they're over now...T.T)

Warning: Bad puns italicised!!

Yet again I felt the need to use the rule of three as my title...I think it's going to become a tradition...Providing I remain blogging!

Don't worry, I remembered the useful advice: Avoid alliterations at all available times.

Okay my little summary at the start, I am yet again going to rant about many minor things that have happened today and place them under little links for your benefit.

Parties

For those of you that can count, or are good with current affairs...Maybe even both! Yesterday was New Years eve, and so as in tradition, we have a massive family party?

Actually, it's far from tradition! We never have family parties! But this was an exception!

My auntie, uncle and cousins came up to visit!! hurrah!

As was necessary, me and my cousins played large amounts of slapstick multi player games. We then went down stairs and instigated a game of cluedo.

Now in our family, Cluedo is a big event!! With the general idea that, if you are stupid enough to show us your cards, tough! And if you are stupid enough to show us your bit of paper: TOUGH!!

I came into this game with an exceptional run, I hadn't been beaten for 3 or 4 years now! (We don't play often).

And so we all sat down and arranged ourself as the players. I was mrs. white note the resemblence!:

<left>Me:</left> <right>Mrs White:</right>
<left></left><right></right>

Well yes, the game started well! My Uncle had employed an incredibly sad tactic of writing everything down and generally not having a life. It started well for me and in fact it looked like I was going to win it.

The only problem being: I was the murderer.

Now this wouldn't normally be a problem, but everyone knew I was the murderer, so I kept being shoved into a load of random rooms out of the way. So I couldn't get to the Study!!

Then the killer blow was applied, my two cousins teamed up, allowing them twice the amount of goes!

It was a close call, but as I was sitting in the hall, one roll from the study. My cousin got there. He accused exactly as I was going to, and claimed victory! =(

HOWEVER: 15 minutes after the game had finished, my Uncle discovered there had been perjury in the game. My sister's team (They had 2 people to one piece), had shown my Granny a card that she hadn't asked for! And with my granny being 89 and not totally aware of what was going on, she didn't notice! She didn't even write it down...

This had effected my strategy for a couple of turns earlier in the game, hence preventing me from reaching an earlier conclusion!

So in fact: I really won! =O

The case has been taken to the executive board for Cluedo competitions in our district. (My mum).

I will eagerly await the results and suspect a lengthy suspension for the players involved!!

After that it was onto a swift game of Cranium (Fun, look it up) and then watching the tipsy people try and play on the eye toy (Web cam like games thing) that I have for my PS2...

With so many people staying in our house, the sleeping arrangements were (and still are) a bit weird. Everyone's shuffled rooms, and I find myself chucked out my room downstairs to the living room; with the dog. xD

I didn't sleep so well, but that doesn't really matter!

Poetry

I guess this has no
real relevance but my friend
has cursed me today.

He told me about
a fashion that involved
speaking in Haiku.

I have had trouble,
my cousins got into it!
My life is mayhem!

So now here I am
taking time to write out all
these senseless Haikus.

Is it me or is
this incredibly sad? I
think I need a life.

But I will keep on
going until I am done
with all my blogging.

Thanks everyone
who is reading this garbage!
Tune in tomorrow.

If you do find this
annoying, you can hit me
by clicking below.

That's all folks.
(Note: I decided to lapse into 3rd person in them...I like it! xP. You have been warned!! )

Well yes, I didn't blog yesterday, so that clearly means I have a lot to rant about. Well actually, yes it does! So I am going to hide them behind livejournal cuts so you don't have to endure all things that you don't like...

Well the sections I would like to cut them up into:

Music(s)

Yes, as pointless as it sounds, I want to rant about music! Because I'm a sad act. I even managed to split this section into two, because I'm incredibly organised like that.

Chapter 1: In which our hero composes a musical masterpiece!!

It was the sort of day that most people would consider dull, empty, and on the whole a horrid day for doing anything.

It is generally agreed here, that when it is a grey day (As it is most the time!) no one does anything with any enthusiasm. However it was on his sofa in front of TV, singing tunefully along to the songs of "Muppet Treasure Island" that our hero had the sudden urge, as if fate had made it so, to compose and write a song. He rushed upstairs, ignoring the clothes strewn everywhere (and almost slipping and falling to his death), flung himself onto the chair in the computer room...skidded into a wall...and then proceeded to search for a MIDI composing software.

It didn't take long.

With the tools of a master at his hands, our hero realised that he of course did not understand music. He spent time trying to work out what to do before his masterpiece began! The scene was set, the crowd was expectant: everything was perfect.

On listening to the music it became aparant that the only musical talent our heroe had came from luck, though he did manage to make a reasonable MIDI rendition of Big Ben...

Rather disheartened, and covered with (metaphorical) rotten tomatoes, our hero returned to the everyday life of the normal boy that he pretended to be when it was inconvenient to show his super powers...

Chapter 2 in which our hero downloads some barenaked ladies...O.O

It was some hours later that it struck our hero that he hadn't used his iTunes voucher yet, he cursed himself for not being able to block said strike and rubbed his head where it had been hit. He picked up the voucher, smiled, and sung the iTunes theme:

Itunes!

You Tune?

I Tune!

You Tune?

We all Tune!

For iTunes!

It was at this point the writer realised he needed to get a life and so Dan Brown was hired at short notice as a replacement.

Our Hero was not an ordinary Harvard University professor, no, he had a habit for getting involved in murder mysteries. He opened iTunes and was instantly struck by the image of...

(Sorry about that intermission...Dan Brown has since been shot and replaced with the original author.)

Anyway, Blah blah blah, hero searches for songs blah blah blah, hero remembers listening to a band called barenaked ladies (unfortunately it turned out they were a boy band and were not barenaked at all...). He searched the name, and ended up downloading their greatest hits, in which he found a song he recognised and marvelled at the amazing lyricing!

Blah blah lapse back into first person for a bit! xD

(Song: One Week - Barenaked ladies
Particularly amusing lyrics:
"How can I help it if I think it's funny when you're mad?
Trying hard not to smile though I'm feeling bad,
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral,
Can't understand what I mean but you soon will.
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve,
I have a history of losing my shirt."

THE END...or is it?
</center>

Strand

Chapter 3 in which our hero decides 1st person is probably easier to explain the rest of the day

I woke up this morning to the cheery news of execution and massive breakfast news specials that kind of put me off my coco pops! (I don't normally have breakfast anyway...but still)

Putting that aside: me, my mum and my sister travelled off to London today in order to see a musical, so I'd been woken up at the ungodly hour of 8.00am...This was especially bad considering I have developed a habit of staying up until 2 or 3 and then sleeping until at least 12!

Well we arrived, got on the train and I had to entertain my mother for the journey while my sister slept. Cuh. Students.

We arrived at London Euston (coming from the north of London obviously!), and everything went smoothly. We noticed a fair few policemen, were a bit confused, then continued to get tickets.

//The following is a rant about transport and probably won't be relevent to anyone who hasn't been on the London Underground! xD//

// We pushed on her first train on the Northern Line to Leicester Square, so we could change onto the Piccadilly line and go one station up to Piccadilly Circus.//

//Finished!//

During which time, I got squashed against a door, someone almost got their head caught in the door, some evil lady beats people up (not literally) to get a seat, and we all get very hot and sticky!

Now we cut out the nice lunch at the steak bar. (No pun intended.) And skip straight to the stageshooooooooow!

Life is a Matinee!!

(Yes we went to a Matinee performance...)

Chapter 4 in which our heroes childhood memories are ruined!

I had always been told how good the Lion King was meant to be as a stage show, so as we walked down Bow Street towards the Lyceum theatre, I was really looking forward to it.

We entered straight away, took our seats, admired the view...etc...

Okay so the show started with a fairly impressive number that mildly disturbed me, with loads of people dressed weird and well it's probably easier to show a picture! >.<;;

Something like that, but without the big rock...Aparantly they couldn't afford that...

Anyway, it was all down hill from there, they continued to take exact scenes directly out the Disney movie and try and do them on stage, failing, add musical numbers in that didn't fit! I found out that most of them couldn't act and didn't have strong enough voices...

Then Timon and Pumba came on...and they were weird too!

And their acting was covered up by their big puppets, so it messed up and at this point I was going crazy because the dood who played Scar made a royal mess of my favourite musical number!! T.T

*Sigh* Eventually it ended and I went to commit suicide but missed and ended up in Forbidden Planet instead. xD I failed to buy anything this time though...I had no idea of what manga would be good!

But that was the end of the day...to a point.

Oh well, there's always the chance to go and see Chicago! =)

A slash fic for Kaori:
You really think you cracked me? Ahahaha. I find that amusing! =)
